Learning To Orchestrate AI Agents

ℹ️ Atomic Note

This is an atomic note, an excerpt of a larger topic I want to remember. These notes are concise and focused on a single idea.

Senior developers are accepting more AI code output than juniors. This is because senior developers are writing better prompts that return quality results. It is very important to learn clarity, delegation, orchestration and communication. Although it is interesting that you need capability for all of the other skills.

Delegation0/103/109/10
Orchestration0/103/109/10
  • Capability - Knowledge of programming and limitations
  • Clarity - Communication skills for describing coding problems
  • Delegation - Creating clear tasks for programming work
  • Orchestration - Handling multiple work streams

The success of using AI agents comes a lot from delegation and orchestration, but requires high proficiency in clarity and capability. The user needs to be able to explain what problem needs to be solved and understand the limitations to be able to effectively communicate the problem to an AI agent.

Senior level developers are able to make the biggest leap in their productivity using AI agents. If they are able to improve their delegation and orchestration skills.

I first heard this concept in Theo's video.
